Possession by Sarah McLaclan came on my itunes a moment ago and it made me think of all those songs people think are love songs that are aren’t. Like Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton or The One I Love by REM or Every Breath You Take by the Police.

Today is Valentine’s day. I’m traveling from my home in New Orleans to my blood family in Chicago for I’m not sure how long. And I don’t have someone to be all lovey with. But I don’t miss love… I miss sit ins and parking lot ballet. I miss cuddle piles and asking what hand belongs to who. I miss my friends. And I love you all.
